telnet without a cpuAnonymous7/1/2024, 8:05:39 PM#6f5d3f84

i finally found a way to fire up netbsd orbs without an orb box (or a serial term connected to an orb box, just a screen-like slate with one dummy charging port. It is running way slower than a pentium machine (although I chose Pentium board at the orb selector thingy.) The problem is this wireless typewriter isn't working well.

can it run gladden? installing git took like 4 hours because git is so bloated, needing lots of packed orbs ..

it feels like ceefax as tty draws graphics from top to bottom. You dont really need pipe or serial ports to get a 38400 baud experience as this device is slow enough to natively emulate it. Pipeing things up will make the tty almost as slow as a 1200 baud terminal

i like this thing nukefire.tdome.org port 4000

i cant really get w3m-img to work on tty. Images won't load. w3m-img is great when lambda is captcha'd, I can see the image. i have got like five - six linux machines, only one that has tty + w3m-img support.

>Introduction

>This is all about Unicode on NetBSD.

>Note on wscons

>wscons doesn't support UTF-8, you'll need X11 and a proper X terminal emulator for this to be of any use, or you get character mash for lunch! Only the ASCII part of Unicode, namely the first 128 characters, will work in your wscons console, as they overlap in both UTF-8 and ISO-8859 character sets:

RIP, no wonder why angband and w3m-img don't work. I don't think this potato is powerful enough for X environment

>>d25da4f2 maybe mwm will work. That thing was featured in 1986 yankee tech programme: computer chronicles and it works fine on those 20mhz orb spacecraft

>>d25da4f2 to be honest, my bsd is almost as slow as computer in those age despite the fact that it is running on pentium. or limbo-pentium and actual pentium are really the same?
